Call for photographers for the leadership Lab program

The AFCD Foundation has been granted an award to implement the U.S. Embassy program: The Leadership Lab. For this matter, we would like to work with the U.S. Embassy representatives, alumni leaders, trainers, and American leadership experts to implement the Leadership Lab. The program aims to empower 60 emerging community leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs from across Morocco between the ages of 18 and 30 through capacity-building training and networking

opportunities.


The Leadership Lab aims to design and implement is a multi-faceted and multi-stakeholder program that seeks to use the best practices developed in the U.S. entrepreneurial system and the principles of participatory democracy and the international open government partnership (OGP) framework to build the knowledge and capacity of the youth selected to participate in the Leadership Lab civic engagement and entrepreneurship training tracks.


Objectives of the program :

Goal 1: Help Moroccan youth develop close ties to the U.S. Mission in Morocco and its alumni network.

  • Objective 1:

  1. Connect The Leadership Lab’s 60 participants with U.S. Embassy representatives and alumni leaders throughout the program’s various activities.

  • Objective 2:

  1. Develop the business acumen of 30 Moroccan youth and provide funding to select youth to launch their business ideas.

  2. Build the leadership skills of Moroccan youth to help them succeed.

  • Objective 3:

  1. Develop the leadership and NGO management capabilities of 30 Moroccan youth and provide funding to select community development initiatives.

Target audience :

The leadership Lab program targets students, community leaders, social activists, and project idea holders or aspiring entrepreneurs aged between 18-30 years’ old.


Timeline of the leadership Lab The Leadership Lab Activities:

  • Moroccan-American Leadership Forum:

The training event will bring together the selected participants, Embassy representatives and Moroccan and American experts and leaders to create an open and meaningful dialogue about entrepreneurship and civic engagement in Morocco. The four days training will be held in Marrakech between the 8 th to 11th of December 2022. There will be some activities that gather the participants from both tracks and some separated.

  • The Leadership Lab Entrepreneurship Training Boot camp:

The five-day in person boot camp seeks to supplement the entrepreneurial curriculum shared in the Online Training program. The event will be held in the Last week of April 2023.

  • Leadership Lab Civic Leadership Training Boot camp:

The five-day in-person boot camp seeks to supplement the civic engagement curriculum shared in the Online Training program. The event will be held in the Last week of April 2023.

  • Leadership Lab Startup Pitch and Hackathon :

The two days event will be an opportunity for the participants to secure seed funding to implement their community initiatives or project ideas.


Requirements:

  • Taking the pictures of all the training moments per a day.

  • One summary video of 5 min after each activity.

  • Testimonials with the participants and the speakers.
