American Leadership Academy is an exciting 7 months program, with both virtual and in-person components, that strengthens the skills of a cohort of emerging Moroccan civic leaders. Working with the U.S. Embassy, Association Anoual will select 42 participants aged between 18 and 25 years old from all over Morocco, distinguished by their passion for leadership, social entrepreneurship, innovation and civil society.
American Leadership Academy will employ virtual trainings, workshops and speaker programs, as well as an intensive in-person camp experience, to help these participants expand their understanding of civic rights and responsibilities; better undertake effective initiatives to create change; and enhance their skills in advocacy, communications, project management, coalition-building, and conflict resolution. During this program, you will be empowered to work on your Community Engagement Plan (CEP) to design and implement a project in your local community.
Eligibility:
Moroccan aged between 18 and 25 years old.
Be able to communicate well in English
Have the status of a student.
Have some experience in a club, NGO, or a local initiative.
Be motivated to develop your leadership skills and give back to your local community.
Be available to attend all online and in person sessions of the program.
Be ready to implement a Community Engagement Project as part of being an ALA participant.
Timeline of the program:
In-person Opening Camp: January 27th to January 30th, 2022
The Online Phase: February to June 2022 (About 5 to 7 hours a month )
In-person Closing Camp: July 2022 (Dates to be confirmed)
