The leadership Lab program aims to empower 60 emerging community leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs from across Morocco between the ages of 18 and 30 through capacity-building training and networking opportunities.
The Leadership Lab aims to design and implement is a multi-faceted and multi-stakeholder program that seeks to use the best practices developed in the U.S. entrepreneurial system and the principles of participatory democracy and the international open government partnership (OGP) framework to build the knowledge and capacity of the youth selected to participate in the Leadership Lab civic engagement and entrepreneurship training tracks.
Objectives :
Goal 1: Help Moroccan youth develop close ties to the U.S. Mission in Morocco and its alumni network.
Objective 1: Connect The Leadership Lab’s 60 participants with U.S. Embassy representatives and alumni leaders throughout the program’s various activities.
Goal 2: Improve the employability rate of Moroccan youth.
Objective 2: Develop the business acumen of 30 Moroccan youth and provide funding to select youth to launch their business ideas.
Goal 3: Build the leadership skills of Moroccan youth to help them succeed.
Objective 3: Develop the leadership and NGO management capabilities of 30 Moroccan youth and provide funding to select community development initiatives.
Target audience:
The leadership Lab program targets students, community leaders, social activists, and project idea holders or aspiring entrepreneurs aged between 18-30 years’ old.
Outlines of the programs Workshops:
To implement the leadership Lab program, the US Embassy in close discussion with AFCD Foundation will hire trainers in the following areas:
Leadership
Projects Management
Civic engagement
Youth empowerment
Entrepreneurship
Soft skills:
Effective Communication
Critical thinking
Problem-solving
Time management
Trainers requirements:
The use of new interactive methods and techniques in their training and workshops
Present in an understandable language during training;
Preparing and sending a detailed report of the delivered workshops, one week at most, after each training.
The ability to present an official invoice before paying the workshop costs.
